Bangladesh may not be the first country that comes to mind when thinking about mobile game development, but the industry has been growing steadily in recent years. In fact, a report by the Bangladesh Association of Software and Information Services (BASIS) revealed that the country’s mobile gaming industry saw a 219% growth in revenue between 2017 and 2020. To gain a deeper understanding of this growth and the industry itself, we spoke with some of the top mobile game developers in Bangladesh.

One of the game developers we spoke with is Ashikur Rahman, founder and CEO of GameFlo, an indie game development studio in Bangladesh. Rahman has been developing games for over 10 years and has won several awards for his work. He shared his insights on the challenges and opportunities in the mobile gaming industry in Bangladesh, and the key to creating successful and unique games.

Another developer we had the opportunity to speak with is Mohammad Fahim, co-founder and CTO of Brain Station-23, a software development company that also has a game development division. Fahim talked about the potential of the Bangladeshi market for mobile games, and how the shift towards smartphones and high-speed internet has opened up new opportunities for game developers in the country.
